The students were reminded that spreadsheets are used for sorting data (for analysis), calculating, and graphing. Today they learned how to do multiplication and division calculations using Excel. First I gave them a worksheet with multiplication and division problems. When they were finished, they put the calculations into a spreadsheet to double check their work. They learned that the equation had to start with an equal sign (=), followed by the equation. They also learned you use a * for multiplication and / for division.
You should first finish your PowerPoint games. If you are finished, please pull it up and be prepared to show it to me. The next assignment is to start doing your research on your "Wax Museum - Famous Europeans" project. Make sure you have your worksheets with you and a pencil. Please start with the following websites for your research and let me know if you are having trouble finding the information you need. Don't forget to write down the bibliography information on the last page! NOTE: You can also get books from the library! |
