This is a fun little project to teach kids about how to work with objects at different layers in Microsoft PowerPoint. They learned about the terms objects and layers. They learned how to bring an object forward and to the front, as well as move an object backwards or to the back. Students were asked to recreate the image in the upper left hand corner on the first two activities and create a face for the third. Then they were asked to save it in their personal folders under the name "layers" and their name.
Today we will put together our Great Explorers book. Each of you will use Microsoft PowerPoint to put together two pages on your explorer. Then you will enter the information on your explorer into the document. Here is an example:
