For the rest of this year, you will be learning how to create your own website. You'll also do other projects in computer class and post them to your website. So let's get started! How the Internet Works Video Let's start by watching a video about what happens when you try and access a website. Here's a video tutorial on how to Publish and Log Off. NOTE: According to Weebly support, if you do not click on the hyperlink to your website after publishing, additional changes to your website may automatically get published as you make them (even before you "publish" again). Wow, you guys did a great job keyboarding! Because so many of you started this year knowing how to keyboard, we set the goal higher for you than in years past. We expected you to type faster and the final test had more numbers and punctuation. Each of you had a different goal based on how well you were typing at the beginning of class. Many of you met that higher goal. For those who didn't, you still exceeded the goals we had set in years past which was 12 WPM with 85% accuracy. And for those who were new to keyboarding, you made great progress. You can keep your accounts and continue to practice. It's important for everyone to continue to keyboard with the proper fingering. If you do, you'll get faster and more accurate. If you don't, you'll forget what you've learned. Remember... Mrs. Hallum expects everyone to be keyboarding proficiently in 6th grade! So keep it up!
