The students are learning about the changing states of matter - solid, liquid, and gas. We will be reinforcing what they are learning in the classroom by doing some online activities in computer class.

The Kindergarten class is currently studying Polar animals and the we'll be watching videos about different animals in computer class. The videos are fascinating and you can watch them from home. The students will be learning how to make their videos "full screen", how to "exit full screen" mode, and how to delete ads. We will also review how to "play a video", how to "pause a video", and how to change the volume.

It's winter time and the kids are learning about winter weather. Today we will be making snowflakes using an online tool called snowflake maker. Here's a link to the tool:
Today we used Pixie to reinforce what the kids are learning in class about needs and wants. They sorted items into needs and wants by dragging and dropping them. Then I let them explore the other features of the tool. Pixie is a kid-friendly application with features similar to Powerpoint. Here is an example of the activity they worked on:
The students will be creating a Thanksgiving scene using Kerpoof Make a Picture. They'll add characters to their scene and learn to manipulate them (size, rotate, speech bubbles, etc.). Here's an example:
Last week and this week, I have been working individually with each student to assess their mouse skills. The rest of the students in the group have had free time on the computers.
