This week marks the 113th anniversary of Dr. Seuss' birth. Since 1998, the National Education Association (NEA) has designated March 2 as Read Across America day. In honor of Dr. Seuss' birthday this week and as part of our Grymes Book Week celebration, students will play educational games and learn more about Dr. Seuss' many books as they explore the websites below.
Today the first grade students will continue to explore maps, map skills, and map symbols using interactive National Geographic map games for children. Students are learning about Ancient Egypt in first grade, and the Explore a Pyramid will give students an opportunity to explore the inside of a pyramid while guiding a robot.
