File System Review
We will start the class reviewing how file systems work and how to access your "personal" folder on the server. We will review how the files on a computer work similarly to filing cabinets. You can have different filing cabinets, multiple filing cabinet drawers, multiple folders, folders inside folders, and then the documents themselves. We will talk about how the computers in the lab are all connected on a network and the server for the "personal" folders are in the copy room by Mrs. Sacre's office. When you click on "computer" in Microsoft Explorer - you can see all the different places you can store/retrieve a file. The third grade students should select the drive "Grade4".
Finish Mystery Partner Letters
Students will come to class with their handwritten letters for their partners. They will finish typing in their letters in class. Then they will change the way the font looks and add images. I'll demonstrate how the "ribbons" have changed in Office 2013. Students will print their letters after I have reviewed them.
